An open access data sharing repository is under development which will be linked to iKANN.
Using iKANN’s data repository, researchers will be able to apply their own perspectives to the same body of information (data), which reduces the bias inherent in individual perspectives and drives innovation. The data repository will include population risk assessment data, signposting and commentary on regional surveillance data. Upstream data from food production and the food environment will also be available on the repository. An open data sharing repository can also inform causal inference disease-specific pathways, such cardiometabolic, cancer and cognitive decline. Curation of the data will be a key aspect of this function and will be conducted by an expert team at NNEdPro to ensure that there is a transparent quality standard for inclusion of data in the iKANN data repository.
